Our Mission

Our Core Priorities

Protect America’s Food Supply

Food security is national security. When workers can work legally and safely, farms gain the stability they need to stay open, invest in their businesses, and keep America’s food system strong.

For decades, farmers have raised the alarm, calling on every administration to create a system that lets farmers keep feeding our nation; and they are still waiting for a president to answer that call and reach a real solution.

Secure a Legal Year-Round Workforce

Dairy, livestock, and produce operations run 24/7, 365 days a year — and they need highly skilled workers who can do the same.

We need bipartisan solutions that allow employers to hire and retain the workers they already depend on — legally.

Strengthen American Farms

When family farms lose workers, rural communities suffer and grocery prices rise.

A secure agricultural workforce means stronger farms and affordable food for all Americans.

Our Approach

We bring together farmers, business leaders, and policymakers to find commonsense solutions that strengthen America’s agricultural workforce.

Industry Led

We elevate the voices of agricultural producers on the front lines, ensuring lawmakers understand what’s at stake for America’s food security.

Bipartisan

We work with leaders across the political spectrum to modernize outdated immigration policies and build a workforce system that reflects the 24/7 nature of American agriculture.

Action Driven

From Capitol Hill briefings to statewide roundtables, we bring this conversation to the public — sharing our message that a secure agricultural workforce keeps farms open, food affordable, and communities strong.

We Support

ABIC Agricultural Council supports commonsense workforce solutions for American Agriculture that follow 3 basic pillars:

  • Legal work authorization for the tax paying, non-criminal workers who are already here and essential to our operations
  • Functional guest worker programs for all of Agriculture production and processing that includes non-seasonal access to year-round producers and processors
  • Green-Card sponsorship programs for the most essential managers and workers to be able to stay on farm long term

One piece of legislation that accomplishes all three of these pillars is the bipartisan Farm Workforce Modernization Act.

America’s family farms want a legal, reliable workforce. The border is secure – now we need to secure the workforce.

If you’re a farmer or food producer who wants to help advance bipartisan solutions that protect family farms and strengthen America’s food system, we invite you to get involved.
